Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Rockford is hiring a kitchen team member to support food preparation in a fast-paced, guest-centered environment. You will work under the Sous Chef, preparing a variety of dishes and maintaining high standards of hygiene.

The role requires flexibility across shifts, the ability to operate common kitchen equipment, and a commitment to teamwork in a 24/7 casino setting. Benefits are offered and employment is at-will.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Culinary apprenticeship or Associate’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per Federal, State and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of foods in assigned kitchen outlet.
• Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Rockford.
• Prepare foods grilled, fried, baked, or in pantry with correct customer specs.
• Ensure plates are visually appealing and cooked to specifications.
• Keep workstation neat and clean; assist co-workers for efficient operation.
• May perform duties for special events/parties as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness of working area and report safety issues.
• Store foods properly and ensure items are stocked; close down stations.
