Job summary

Daily Provisions on the Upper East Side, part of Union Square Hospitality Group, is hiring a Line Cook. Qualifications

• 2+ years in a Line Cook position in a similar environment.
• NYC Food Handlers License.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work on weekends; evening availability preferred.
• English fluency; additional languages preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and portioning of food
• Maintains and properly uses all kitchen equipment including fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers and rotisserie
• Prep duties are excellently prepped, seasoned and cooked to standard within the designated time
• Follows standard recipes, techniques, and builds sheets of assigned dishes as taught by leaders
• Responsible for proper product storage of mise en place with labeling and dating
• Maintain properly sharpened knives and tools and maintain professional line cook workload
• Keep the dish station clean and comply with health department standards
• Support the team during call-outs, catering, etc.
• Adhere to Department of Health standards to keep kitchen spaces tidy
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and operational success
