Job summary

Front Porch is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and cook meals for residents and staff at Canterbury Woods Retirement Community in Pacific Grove, CA. This full-time, hourly position runs 7am-3:30pm, 36+ hours weekly, with a pay range of $24.00–$26.00 per hour.

Under supervision, you will prepare a variety of foods, ensure quality and portion control, and maintain clean, sanitary work areas while adhering to safety standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Credentials: Essential: Food Handlers' certification from local health department.
• Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Essential: High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents and employees.
• Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items using broilers, ovens, grills and fryers.
• Maintain quality and portion sizes per standards and recipes.
• Stock and rotate food products at line stations to ensure smooth service.
• Keep workstations clean and sanitary; follow safety and health codes.
• Follow department safety standards and participate in campus-wide safety programs.
• Attend mandatory in-service meetings and follow facility policies.
