Job summary

The Turning Point LLC in Paramus, NJ, is a daytime-only breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant seeking capable kitchen staff. You’ll learn across all kitchen areas, from three cooking stations to prep and dishwashing, with a supportive team and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Proper food handling and storage
• Preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking
• Accurately and efficiently cooking food
• Ability to read in English OR Español and following all recipes, portions, guidelines, sanitation, and basic safety to produce food according to the Turning Point and Health Department guidelines
• We have many positions in our kitchens. You will be expected to learn and work in all areas. This includes the three cooking stations, food prep and dishwashing positions
• Our managers will never ask you to do something they would not do themselves

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Prior restaurant experience is recommended but not required
• Skilled with the use of cookware needed for the position
• Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
• Ability to work with high temperature equipment and in a high heat facility
