Civitas Senior Living's Harvest of Aledo is seeking a Cook to deliver high-quality meals with attention to presentation and safety. You will follow established recipes, assist in kitchen operations, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or similar setting.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols.
• Ability to work as part of a team and maintain quality standards.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a senior living environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned meals following established recipes and gastronomic standards. Showcase your flair for plating and presentation.
• Maintain temperature charts and food safety records. Adhere to sanitation protocols and quality control.
• Notify the Chef of inventory needs and participate in streamlined kitchen operations.
• Uphold Civitas standards in personal grooming and kitchen hygiene.
• Assist in organizing the kitchen, food storage, dish room, and other culinary areas. Foster a spirit of collaboration and innovation.
• Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system, verifying proper dating and organization for optimum freshness.
• Assist Chef Manager/F&B Director to grow kitchen efficiency and offer staff training opportunities.
• Follow all sanitation, food handling protocols, safety policies, and meet regulatory requirements.
