Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants in Illinois is seeking a Line Cook who will craft memorable dining experiences. You’ll follow recipes, manage portions, and present dishes with care, using the KDS system as needed while multitasking in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires knife skills, English communication, and a team-oriented approach. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities offered according to experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Six months or more of line cook experience in upscale casual settings
• Strong knife skills and basic cooking knowledge
• Able to multitask, stay organized, and work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Team-first attitude and passion for high quality food
• Able to stand, move for long periods, lift 50 pounds, and work weekends/holidays
• Ability to read, understand and communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes, control portions, and nail presentation every time
• Properly use the KDS system to manage cook times, while preparing and multitasking several dishes at a time.
