Job summary

Southern Tier Brewing - Taproom in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Line Cook to accurately and efficiently handle and prepare food at assigned stations. The starting pay rate is $18 per hour, with pay adjustments based on experience.

Minimum 2 years’ prep/line cook experience preferred, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining hygiene and safety standards. Join a collaborative team at ABV’s Cleveland taproom.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a prep/line cook preferred.
• Basic sanitation knowledge or ability to learn regulations for workplace safety.
• Basic understanding of food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
• Ability to function in a high-paced environment and work well as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and handle high volume and pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients following recipes and line builds as directed by the Executive Chef or Manager on Duty.
• Lead station setup focusing on proper cooking procedures, plating, flavor, and ticket time.
• Independently prepare all menu items to order and receive feedback on build accuracy and cooking methods.
• Execute meal preparation for quality control, including self-assessment and Chef evaluation.
• Oversee post-shift duties including cleaning, stocking, and checkout procedures.
• Label and store food properly while maintaining time-temperature logs.
