Job summary

Southern Tier is seeking a Line Cook to join a collaborative kitchen team in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare and plate dishes, manage station setups, and ensure quality and presentation. The role focuses on precise cooking, proper labeling, and adherence to health and safety standards.

You’ll work closely with a tight-knit crew, maintain high hygiene and efficiency, and support private events as needed. Compensation begins at $20 per hour, with growth opportunities across ABV brands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a prep/line cook preferred.
• Basic understanding of or the ability to learn sanitation regulations for workplace safety.
• Basic understanding of or the ability to learn food handling, preparation, and cooking procedures.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and stressful environment.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must maintain personal hygiene and be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients following a recipe and line builds, as directed.
• Lead station set up with proper cooking procedures, plating and presentation.
• Independently prepare all menu items to order and receive feedback on builds.
• Execute meal preparation for quality control and flavor profiling.
• Oversee post-shift duties, including cleaning, stocking, and checkout procedures.
• Label and store food, manage time-temperature logs per procedures and codes.
• Follow opening and closing duties as outlined in ABV guides.
• Inspect dishes for presentation, accuracy, and quality before serving.
• Complete assigned prep work and assist with private events as needed.
