Job summary

Artisanal Brewing Ventures is seeking a Line Cook for Southern Tier - Lakewood, NY. The role focuses on accurate and efficient food preparation at assigned stations, following recipes, and ensuring quality, plating, and time discipline.

This is a part-time position with opportunities to grow within ABV brands. You should have at least 2 years of prep/line cook experience and a solid understanding of sanitation, food handling, and fast-paced teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a prep/line cook preferred.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and workplace safety.
• Understanding of food handling techniques, prep, and cooking procedures.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-paced environment.
• Team player with good hygiene and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients following a recipe and line builds as directed by the Executive Chef or manager on duty.
• Lead station setup focusing on proper cooking procedures, plating, temperature, and ticket time.
• Independently prepare all menu items to order and seek feedback on builds and methods.
• Execute meal preparation for quality control, including self-assessment and chef evaluation.
• Oversee post-shift duties, including cleaning, stocking, and checkout procedures.
• Label and store food properly and manage time-temperature logs per procedures and health code.
• Follow opening and closing duties and inspect dishes for presentation and quality.
• Assist with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
• Support private events with high-quality service and presentation.
