Job summary

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery invites applications for a Line Cook to join its culinary team in Charlotte. You will prepare meals to order, ensure quality and proper station stocking, and follow established recipes under the guidance of the Executive Chef.

This hourly position emphasizes precision, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to advance across both current locations and departments.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training in a high-volume kitchen.
• Knowledge of professional cooking and knife handling.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and managers.
• Ability to transport up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work calmly and under pressure.
• Understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment.
• Embodies OMB's 6 core values.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals to order during service hours.
• Ensure each OMB item is prepared with high quality care and craftsmanship.
• Keep all stations stocked before and during the meal period.
• Follow recipes and guidelines set by culinary management.
• Use proper cooking techniques and knife skills.
• Store food items properly and keep them accessible.
• Follow health department guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the Executive Chef.
