Job summary

The Ivy Room is a full-service event space in a historic courtyard building in the heart of Chicago's River North neighborhood. The Line Cooks are responsible for the preparation, production and presentation of all menu items.

Essential Functions include preparing menu items according to prescribed recipes, working varied hours including weekends, safely using all tools, communicating clearly, and multitasking under pressure.

Qualifications

• Communication with team to coordinate orders and service.
• Team-oriented mindset and collaboration with all staff.
• Ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
• Adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
• Maintain food safety and quality standards
• Read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
• Communicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator
• Maintain menu item counts and notify when quantities fall below minimum
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
