Responsibilities
  • Consistently prepares hot or cold food selections to standards established by the Executive Chef.
  • Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly.
  • Assist in training of new Cooks.
  • Must be able to stand for a full shift.
  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customers or fellow team members.
  • Completes daily checklist and production charts as directed by your supervisor
  • Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • One to three months' related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Apprentice for Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment. Must be able to identify all products used in kitchen operation. Recognizes spoiled or questionable products. Ability to read and comprehend and execute recipes.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Must successfully complete C.A.R.E. or TIPS training (if applicable).
