Job summary

The Ruby Slipper Cafe is seeking a Kitchen Associate to accurately and efficiently prepare hot foods, portion before cooking, and garnish plates. You will follow Ruby standards, maintain clean prep areas, and work with the team in a high-paced brunch environment.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of kitchen experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate clearly with managers and team members. Daytime shifts are available, with growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front-of-house krewe members.
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products.
• Prepare and portion food prior to cooking and garnish plates as needed.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work area and follow kitchen procedures.
