Job summary

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa, a Pyramid Global Hospitality property in Riverside, CA, is seeking a culinary professional to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. You will learn and apply cooking techniques, assist in production, and work with leadership to create menus that reflect seasonal concepts.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in a professional kitchen.
• Active Food handler's certification or ability to obtain it.
• Willing to work day/night and weekend shifts.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Desire to exceed expectations and bring energy to the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté and fry).
• Experience using knives and different kitchen equipment.
• Reach and recreate recipes and maintain consistent food prep quality.
• Minimize food waste through cross-utilization.
• Work with a world-class culinary team and support leadership.
• Prepare ingredients and maintain a sanitized, orderly kitchen.
• Ensure proper storage of food and other items.
• Contribute to high-quality ingredients and dishes.
