Job summary

Orbital Kitchens is seeking a Line Cook to join a fast-paced, growing kitchen in New York. This role requires collaboration with the broader kitchen, setting up stations, and maintaining proper storage and rotation of products.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in the food industry, knife skills, and a willingness to work across all stations, with bilingual Spanish being a plus. The team is looking for someone who is self-starting and eager to grow within a close-knit group.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working in the food industry
• Knife skills
• Bilingual in Spanish (plus)
• New York restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Set up stations with all necessary supplies
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly
• Prepare menu items in cooperation with the greater kitchen
• Flexibility to work within all stations
• Experience in fry, griddle, garde manger, or expediter
• Self-starter with the capacity to follow through on tasks
• Ability to multitask at all points during your workday
• An eagerness to grow as part of a close-knit team
• Reports all operational needs and equipment or aspects of the kitchen in need of repair or improvement to management

• Prepare menu items in cooperation with the greater kitchen.

• Experience in fry, griddle, garde manger, or expediter
