The Gathering Spot in Atlanta, GA seeks an AM Line Cook to prepare food to the Chef's exact specifications for The Retreat's onsite restaurant. You'll support daily restaurant and event prep and help ensure high-quality, timely dishes.

Responsibilities include setting up stations, chopping vegetables, cooking menu items, following the Chef's instructions, and maintaining sanitation. Must have culinary school diploma and proven line cook experience; shift is 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Formación

• Proven cooking experience as line chef or prep cook.
• Solid knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to follow chef's instructions precisely and perform tasks quickly.
• Familiar with industry best practices and food safety standards.

• Prepare food for service, chop vegetables, butcher meat, and make sauces.
• Cook menu items in coordination with kitchen staff.
• Follow Executive Chef's instructions and report progress.
• Clean up assigned station and manage leftovers.
• Stock inventory and ensure timely, high-quality plating.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance at all times.
• Keep a professional, positive demeanor with coworkers and guests.

We are looking for a professional AM Line Cook to prepare food to the exact Chef's specifications and to support The Retreat's onsite restaurant. Line Cook duties will include assisting the Executive Chef with their daily restaurant & event prep. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report, and follow the Executive Chef's instructions
• Clean up your assigned station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, of high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry's best practices
• Culinary school diploma
