Maple Ski Ridge Inc. in Schenectady, NY is seeking a Line Cook for seasonal, part-time work in our kitchen. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, ensure quality and safety, and provide friendly service to guests in a fast-paced ski lodge environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, operating basic kitchen equipment, handling deliveries, stocking storeroom, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Must be 18+ with ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Read and prepare menu items as ordered by customers according to recipes.
• Prepare items using kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Receive and store deliveries; rotate stock and maintain cleanliness.
• Operate cash register and process payments with accurate change.
• Maintain clean kitchen, including grills, surfaces, and floors; deep clean weekly.
• Ensure food safety and proper temperatures during service.

We are a passionate team that takes pride in keeping our mountain running smoothly, safely, and efficiently and make magic on the snow every day.**Job Summary:**We’re looking for a reliable, friendly individual to assist with kitchen operations. As a member of our food service team, you’ll ensure our guests receive quality-made food and beverages along with a positive customer service experience. You’ll maintain compliance with safety regulations and food-safety standards, and work closely with other departments to keep Maple Ski Ridge a unique, memorable experience. **Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.*** Conduct water test daily upon opening and record results* Reads and prepares menu items as ordered by customers according to portion control and quality standards of the menu* Follows specific recipes and instruction to prepare menu items using basic kitchen equipment and preparatory utensils* Retrieves ingredients and supplies from storage areas by lifting and carrying to appropriate area* Notifies supervisor when supplies are low* Unloads and verifies accuracy of deliveries from vendors and places in appropriate storage areas by lifting and carrying boxes.* Stores incoming food shipments properly in storeroom, maintains storeroom in a neat, orderly manner, and ensures all food items are stored at the appropriate temperatures* Operates cash register, including taking payment from customers and making accurate change* Serves food and beverages to customers at the appropriate safe food temperatures.* Responsible for cleaning the kitchen daily, including all grills, surfaces, dishes, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.* Conducts a major kitchen cleaning once each week, including scrubbing pots and cleaning the refrigerator* Responsible for cleaning the restrooms daily, including seeping and mopping the floors and cleaning the toilets and sinks.* Cleans the lodge by clearing and wiping down tables, sweeping and cleaning the floors as needed.## QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
