Maple Ski Ridge Inc is seeking a reliable kitchen worker/line cook to support our food service team at Maple Ski Ridge in Schenectady, NY. You’ll follow recipes, manage portions, and ensure quality food and friendly service for guests.

The role includes daily cleaning, inventory checks, and safe food handling. Seasonal, part-time, with possible growth and employee perks.

We are a passionate team that takes pride in keeping our mountain running smoothly, safely, and efficiently and make magic on the snow every day.Job Summary: We’re looking for a reliable, friendly individual to assist with kitchen operations. As a member of our food service team, you’ll ensure our guests receive quality-made food and beverages along with a positive customer service experience. You’ll maintain compliance with safety regulations and food-safety standards, and work closely with other departments to keep Maple Ski Ridge a unique, memorable experience.Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Other duties may be assigned.Conduct water test daily upon opening and record resultsReads and prepares menu items as ordered by customers according to portion control and quality standards of the menuFollows specific recipes and instruction to prepare menu items using basic kitchen equipment and preparatory utensilsRetrieves ingredients and supplies from storage areas by lifting and carrying to appropriate areaNotifies supervisor when supplies are lowUnloads and verifies accuracy of deliveries from vendors and places in appropriate storage areas by lifting and carrying boxes.Stores incoming food shipments properly in storeroom, maintains storeroom in a neat, orderly manner, and ensures all food items are stored at the appropriate temperaturesOperates cash register, including taking payment from customers and making accurate changeServes food and beverages to customers at the appropriate safe food temperatures.Responsible for cleaning the kitchen daily, including all grills, surfaces, dishes, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors.Conducts a major kitchen cleaning once each week, including scrubbing pots and cleaning the refrigeratorResponsible for cleaning the restrooms daily, including seeping and mopping the floors and cleaning the toilets and sinks.Cleans the lodge by clearing and wiping down tables, sweeping and cleaning the floors as needed.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
