Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items according to recipes, plate presentations, and specifications in a timely fashion.
- Maintain product presentations, quality, and cook time standards.
- Complete all assigned prep work.
- Set up work station according to station diagram.
- Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
- Clean and sanitize the work area before, during, and after shift.
- Complete all assigned cleaning projects.
- Attend and participate in daily kitchen meetings.
- Fully stock station for the next shift.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the entire back of house (BOH).
- Ensure walk-ins and dry storage areas are cleaned and organized daily.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of prior experience, preferably with from-scratch cuisine.
- A passion for organics and creative cuisine.
- Ability to work evenings and Saturdays regularly.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to take direction from supervisor.
- Capable of using knives, slicing equipment, and other food prep tools.
- Mobility required during entire shift, including climbing stairs.
- Willing to work flexible and extended hours as needed.
