Description

The historic Hotel Cleveland is seeking a detail-oriented Part Time PM Line Cook to join its team. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food items according to production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over-prepare estimated needs.
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards, keeping perishables at proper temperatures.
  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line setup. Note any out-of-stock items or shortages.
  • Return unused food items to storage, covering and dating perishables.
  • Assist in controlling food costs, waste, and usage per Crescent standards.
  • Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers, broilers, stoves, etc.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Previous line cook experience is highly desired.
  • ServeSafe and/or Food Handler certification preferred.
  • Culinary Diploma preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move goods weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
