Line Cook Job Responsibilities:
  1. Setting up and helping to prep station for service
  2. Preparing food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
  3. Cooking food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other methods to specified recipes and standards
  4. Maintaining cleanliness and complying with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  5. Cleaning and sanitizing cooking surfaces during and at the end of the shift
  6. Performing inventory checks and completing food storage logs
  7. Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Follows directions and instructions
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
