Description

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing their station, maintaining a clean work environment, and executing their duties with excellence. This vital role involves safely preparing delicious food and supporting the kitchen's operations.

Responsibilities

1. Set up and break down their station daily.
2. Assist with stocking, labeling, dating, ordering, receiving, and following food safety procedures.
3. Prepare food by cleaning, cutting ingredients, and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.
4. Plate food according to the senior chef’s guidance.
5. Collaborate with servers to ensure orders are completed accurately and timely.
6. Clean the kitchen and utensils, and store equipment after each shift.
7. Ensure kitchen procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
8. Monitor food prep and storage areas for compliance with health and safety codes.

Qualifications

1. Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
2. Knowledge of cooking techniques.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
4. Ability to work in hot and humid environments.
5. Respond effectively to emergency situations.
6. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours.
7. Flexible schedule and adaptable to operational demands.
8. Willingness to follow all food safety procedures.

Compensation
