Position Details

  • Hourly

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing food according to standardized recipes for the restaurants, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets, maintaining high standards for quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. The role involves minimizing waste and maximizing cost efficiency.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
  • Prepare food and stations before opening to ensure prompt service.
  • Prepare and display buffet items per hotel standards.
  • Recognize quality standards in ingredients.
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary environment with proper handling, storage, and sanitation.
  • Prepare food for banquets and employee cafeteria as directed.
  • Follow standard recipes and support other kitchen positions as needed.
  • Break down buffets and store food and equipment properly.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or hotel or related experience preferred.
  • Culinary experience required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including long shifts.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force and stand throughout the shift.
  • Knowledge of menus, cooking techniques, herbs, and spices.
