Job summary

Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Line Cook to join its culinary team. This role requires preparing all food items per recipes, maintaining sanitary stations, and supporting the kitchen during service.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20 and a benefits package including health, dental, life and vision insurance, 401(k), free meal per shift, paid parking, and hotel discounts. Prior prep or line cook experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required.
• Previous line cook experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of professional cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Experience with prep or line cook duties.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Restocks items and takes inventory after service.
• Cleans and maintains stations with safety and sanitation.
• Operates and maintains all station equipment.
• Assists with cleaning and organizing kitchen, walk-ins, and storage areas.
• Performs additional duties as directed by Chef and Sous Chef.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the chef or restaurant
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift and is responsible for taking inventory after service
• Cleans and maintains stations in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef, and Sous Chef at any time

Pay Rate: $20 an hour

Qualifications:

• A thorough and deep understanding of professional cooking including basic techniques and working food knowledge.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience.
• Professional communications skills are required
