Job summary

Starbird Chicken in San Jose, CA is hiring for a kitchen team member. You will fry chicken, assemble salads and sandwiches, plate items per Starbird guidelines, and assist with stocking and station setup.

Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Evening and morning shifts, including weekends, are available; tips apply and growth opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience preferred.

• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to track multiple orders and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Fry chicken, make salads and sandwiches.
• Plate prepared foods using Starbird guidelines.
• Assist with stocking and setting up kitchen stations.
• Support with food prep and clean as you go.
• Stand, bend, and move in confined spaces for extended periods.

• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, lift, grasp for extended periods of time. Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in confined work area.
• Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs; place items on high and low shelves in office, store rooms, service areas and walk-in coolers.
• Must also be able to tolerate temperature changes in kitchen and refrigerated areas.
• Evening and morning shifts available. Weekend shifts are a must.
