Genesis Hospitality’s Nassau Diner in Princeton is seeking an energetic Line Cook to join a fast-paced, customer-focused kitchen. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, follow recipes, and support the Executive Chef while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

We offer a competitive schedule and training, with opportunities to work weekends and various shifts. Experience in a kitchen and strong teamwork are valued as part of a busy dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however not required.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Executes service and production of food for all/any areas of the kitchen.
• Recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat products.
• Assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Kitchen Manager.
• Maintain assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Handle food in a manner that is consistent with local health department guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling techniques and coordinate use of time, material and equipment to avoid waste and expense.
• Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene.
• Comply with department's dress code.
• Follow safety regulations, reporting injuries or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, mornings, evenings.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Well developed and multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
• Candidate must be dependable and reliable.

The Nassau Diner, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is currently seeking an energetic, and team-oriented Line Cook for its rewarding team. We are hiring for Full Time! The Line Cook will assist in the food preparation and with any requests the Executive Chef has, as well to provide an outstanding customer service to the clientele.
