Job summary

Sassano’s in Paoli, PA is hiring for kitchen roles to handle takeout and dine-in service. Shifts include Full-Time: Mon–Fri (roughly 8:30 AM–3:30 PM) and Part-Time: 2–4 days weekly, with prep before opening.

Note: Sassano’s hours are 10:00 AM–3:00 PM on weekdays and closed weekends. Responsibilities include preparing orders, building sandwiches, slicing ingredients, labeling and organizing items, and assisting with prep and catering as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare in-person and online takeout orders accurately and efficiently
• Build made‑to‑order sandwiches, wraps, and salads to spec
• Slice and portion ingredients (training provided), label and organize prepared items
• Assist with daily prep items (sides, soups, salads, trays, and catering prep as needed)
• Work with a small team to keep orders moving during the lunch rush
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food safety standards
• Restock the line with ingredients, packaging, condiments, and supplies
• Communicate clearly, stay calm, and ask questions when unsure
• Support opening/closing tasks (setup, breakdown, cleaning)

Schedule

Requirements

• Food service experience is a plus, but not required
• Friendly, patient, and team-oriented
• Strong organization and attention to detail (speed + accuracy matters)
• Comfortable working with knives and slicers (training provided; safety-first culture)
• Understands food safety and proper handling (or willing to learn quickly)
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb
• Monday through Friday schedule. No weekend shifts.
