Responsibilities

1. Prepare menu items according to Johnny Carino's recipes, plate presentations, and specifications within cook time requirements.
2. Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions and prepare and cook food accordingly.
3. Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, and dishwashers.
4. Complete all assigned prep work.
5. Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
6. Set up work station and complete daily and weekly cleaning projects.
7. Be a core team member in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous line cook or cooking experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans, and cases on high and low shelves.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
