Position Summary

Thirty Nine Enterprises, LLC, a subsidiary of First Americans Museum, aims to promote the museum’s mission through food and beverage services. The Line Cook plays a vital role in the operations of 39 Restaurant and catering services. Responsibilities include food prep, assisting in meal preparation, following recipes, maintaining a clean work environment, adhering to safety guidelines, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure high-quality food presentation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in food presentation.
  • Assist with food prep and during service hours.
  • Properly store and label food items.
  • Follow instructions from chefs and team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory, report shortages.
  • Follow safety procedures, including knife handling.
  • Support catering for internal and external events.
  • Assist with café operations and special events.
  • Transport and set up catering equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a line cook.
  • Knowledge of food prep, cooking, and presentation.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary training or degree is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Supervision and Guidelines

Reports to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef. Must adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, and ethical guidelines.

Physical Requirements

Ability to handle large equipment, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in hot, cold, and sharp environments. Accommodations available for disabilities.
