Job Description

The Line Cook’s primary responsibility is to cook in our kitchen, following our Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction. This is achieved by:

  • Being able to read and follow recipes, directions, and lists outlined by a chef
  • Understanding and following proper DOH food safety policies
  • Being punctual and paying attention to detail
  • Maintaining a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
  • Working in a fast-paced and stressful environment without losing composure
  • Having the ability to stand while working for long periods
  • Performing other duties as directed
Required Experience
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant (1+ years Manhattan experience)
  • Understanding of various cooking methods and cuisines
  • Maintain high-quality standards, clean work habits, and great attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with industry’s best practices, equipment, and procedures
  • Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands, including walking, standing, lifting heavy items, and open availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
