Job summary

Meet Me at Madison's Cafe, located at 121 Watchung Avenue in Montclair, NJ, is seeking a line cook for Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 4pm to join our breakfast and brunch team.

The ideal candidate has experience with breakfast/brunch, can read line tickets, and works well in a fast-paced kitchen. Bilingual Spanish is required; raises based on experience and performance.

Qualifications

• Breakfast and brunch experience preferred.
• Experience reading line tickets to prepare orders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present breakfast/brunch items to order.

MEET ME AT MADISON CAFE:

• 121 Watchung Avenue in Montclair NJ.

Must have a good attitude and breakfast food service experience.

Follows recipes and proper cooking techniques to ensure products are consistently prepared to showcase our high standards and give our guests a meal they can't find elsewhere!

Willing to work in a fast- paced environment.

The line cook will work the following schedule:

• Saturday, 9a-4p.


• Sunday, 9a-4p.

Starting salary: $25 and varies depending on experience.

Must be bilingual in Spanish.

Job Description: The line cook will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods: Breakfast and Brunch.

• Prepares and cooks breakfast and brunch to-order foods that may require short preparation time.


• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.


• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and will operate grill stations.


• Experience reading line tickets to prepare orders.


• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.


• Attends all training: Foodborne illness service training or other in-service training assigned.


• Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.


• May assist with receiving inventory.


• Ensures food temperatures are compliant.


• Will assist in the daily cleaning of our kitchen.

• 2-4 years of Experience.
