Job summary

Luminary Hotel & Co in Macon, GA is seeking a proactive Line Cook to support daily kitchen operations across F&B outlets. You will handle vegetable prep, sauces, and proteins, work with fellow cooks during peak periods, and ensure dishes meet chef specifications.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in a kitchen, strong teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure. Servsafe or ability to obtain certification is preferred. High school diploma or higher required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen.
• Working knowledge of cooking recipes, different cuisines, and kitchen equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow tasks.
• Experience working collaboratively on a team.

Responsibilities

• Basic vegetable preparation, sauce preparation, and minor butchery of proteins.
• Line cook during meal periods under supervision of chefs.
• Daily preparation of ingredients for regular menu and specials.
• Plate dishes according to chef’s specifications and present to guests.
• Monitor inventory and inform chef when items need ordering.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of station and storage areas.
• Assist fellow cooks during busy periods and keep kitchen clean.
