Description
Lee Canyon is seeking dedicated Line Cooks to join our Food & Beverage team! Your primary focus will be on preparing high-quality food efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This position can be either FULL TIME or PART TIME, offering flexibility and the opportunity to enjoy the perks of working at a premier resort.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food and assist with menu preparation
- Stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations to ensure smooth service
- Coordinate with other cooks, wait staff, and team members
- Test and monitor food during cooking using tasting, smelling, and piercing with a thermometer
- Plate and portion food according to presentation standards
- Measure and mix ingredients as per recipes or records
- Adjust oven, grill, and other equipment temperatures as needed
- Familiarize with and properly operate all kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of kitchen and food service items
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a sanitary environment
- Perform janitorial duties including dishwashing, cleaning, and snow shoveling as required
- Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and other kitchen areas
- Complete closing procedures including equipment shutdown, cleaning, and organization
- Report absences or schedule changes promptly
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain upon employment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Minimum age of 18 years
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long hours
- NV Food Handlers Card required
