Job Description

Position Summary: Responsible for the station's workflow and ensuring meals are prepared and served on time by overseeing the cooking process from start to finish, and determining the time required for each step. Ensures quality and consistency of all food menu items, demonstrating knowledge of all kitchen areas.

Essential Functions:
  • Anticipate and accommodate guest needs.
  • Handle allergy and dietary restrictions/modifications.
  • Prepare all restaurant foods, hot and cold, working in all aspects of food preparation.
  • Follow all orders from the POS system and directions from the expeditor accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the station.
  • Follow supervisor instructions, support co-workers, and demonstrate teamwork.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of recipes and execute them to company standards.
  • Understand venue operations.
  • Comply with health and sanitation standards.
  • Communicate product needs to chefs and support staff.
  • Check cover counts, BEOs, and Fire Sheets as required.
  • Properly set up station and perform opening/closing procedures, including stocking, mise en place, cleaning, and side-work.
  • Report equipment or furniture damage immediately.
  • Participate in pre-service meetings and training sessions.
  • Lead by example, maintain a positive attitude, and demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and its partners.
  • Work as part of a team, assisting with additional tasks as assigned.
Training Requirements:

Tao Group Hospitality in-venue line cook training.

Experience & Skills:
  • Previous culinary experience preferred.
  • High-volume culinary operation experience preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to move quickly, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
  • Work environment includes noise, crowds, smoke, hot kitchen elements, and cleaning materials.
  • May require extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Effective team interaction and confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
