Job summary

Pine Mountain Ski and Golf Resort in Michigan is seeking a passionate line cook to provide guests with an exceptional dining experience. You will work across multiple stations and prepare meals precisely to guest orders while following our standard recipes.

The role requires teamwork and clear communication with kitchen staff to keep service smooth. You must maintain kitchen safety and proper food storage, and bring strong time management and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must comply with kitchen safety and food storage regulations.
• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with visitors, vendors, and associates while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
• Prepare food orders on the line by cooking items to order, grilling, broiling, sauteing and meet all presentation guidelines and follow standard recipes
• Guarantee that quality food is supplied, by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products
• Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules
• Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift

Job description

We are looking for someone with a passion for food and strong time management abilities who can provide clients with an exceptional dining experience. Our restaurant is busy, and we need a competent and experienced line cook who can ensure that our meals are made precisely to guest orders while still following our standard recipes consistently. To work a variety of stations on any given shift, our line cook must be adept at poaching, braising, roasting, grilling, sautéing, and frying. You need to be a team player who can effectively communicate with other kitchen staff to keep things running efficiently. Compensation

$18 - $20 hourly

Qualifications

• Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
• Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
