Job summary

Uccello’s in Grandville, MI is seeking dependable, hardworking cooks to join our Culinary Team in a fast-paced kitchen serving award-winning Italian family recipes. This full-time role requires standing for long periods and a commitment to guest satisfaction and teamwork.

You’ll work with our kitchen staff to maintain quality standards, assist in food prep during peak times, and handle duties assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience.
• Experience in a high-volume kitchen.
• Availability on weekends (mandatory).
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to work in a guest- and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard portion sizes and follow kitchen policies.
• Keep a clean and sanitary workstation; rotate stock properly.
• Assist in food prep during off-peak periods.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.

We are looking for individuals who want to join our Uccello’s Family and help us continue our growing success. Job Duties include:

• Knowing and compiling consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.


• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.


• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.


• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.

Requirements

The successful applicant will:

• Have previous experience working in a high volume kitchen


• Availability on weekends (mandatory)


• Flexible scheduling

• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
