Job summary

Elephant & Co. is seeking a Line Cook for Ferndale Project in Ferndale, MI. You will work in a scratch kitchen crafting high-quality dishes to pair with craft beers.

Ideal candidates have experience as a line cook or prep cook, can stand long shifts, and are comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Availability to work nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience working in a high-volume and/or scratch-made kitchen preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cooking items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, and sauteing
• Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies for service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safe food-handling procedures
• Preparing food for service, including cutting, chopping, and mixing ingredients
• Prepare pizza dough according to established recipes and procedures
• Working with staff to ensure that orders are completed accurately and on time
• Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Ensures proper storage and rotation of inventory

• Cooking items on the line by grilling, frying, chopping, and sauteing
