Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dallas is seeking a hands-on kitchen team member to plan and prepare meals for our restaurant and catering events. You will maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include inventory, cost awareness, and coordinating with Sales for catering orders. The ideal candidate has hospitality experience and the ability to lift 50 lbs, with a strong team ethic and professional communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year hospitality/restaurant experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare food for hotel restaurant and catering functions while following safety guidelines.
• Understand food costs and portion control without sacrificing quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and restaurant areas.
• Coordinate catering with Sales and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving of food and beverage items.
• Train and monitor kitchen staff as needed and comply with sanitation standards.

Ensuring all F&B Standards are met to ensure our Guests feel the value and cared for.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPlan and prepare various food items and meals for hotel restaurant and catering functions, following proper food handling and safety guidelinesUnderstand food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality.Assist with quality and presentation issues, cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and the restaurant when necessary.Accommodate guests’ special requests.Maintain clean work area, practicing “clean as you go” policyAssist with inventory, ordering, and receiving of all food and beverage items as directed.Assist with any reports as required (inventory, food costs, beverage costs, etc)Maintain sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.Coordinate catering reservations and Food preparation with the Sales Department and ensure guest satisfaction.
