Key Responsibilities of the Line Cook:
  • Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality.
  • Expedites orders in a timely manner.
  • Practices excellent operational sanitation.
  • Executes scheduled banquet functions.
  • Maintains professional relationships with colleagues.
  • Helps reduce waste and loss.
  • Communicates equipment repair needs to the chef.
  • Participates in training efforts.
  • Incorporates safe work practices.
  • Attends staff meetings.
  • Checks and dates deliveries, reports variances.
  • Verifies cooler temperatures and cleanliness.
  • Processes inventory requisitions and receives supplies.
  • Prepares food according to production plans and recipes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates Culinary Degree and 2 years of culinary experience and/or training, or equivalent.
Other Qualifications:
  • Serv Safe Certification preferred.
