IHOP Restaurants LLC in Columbia, SC is seeking a Line Cook to support the kitchen team by preparing menu items according to recipes, setting up stations, and upholding quality and timing standards in a fast-paced casual dining environment.

You will cross-train across stations, maintain cleanliness, and work with a friendly team. This role requires at least 1 year in casual dining, high school diploma preferred, and strong communication and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry, preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Current alcohol and food certifications that meet state requirements are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.

Duties of this position will include the setup of equipment, verification of stock, the cleaning of cooking equipment, and preparing food items to specification while maintaining a clean work area. Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry, preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry items up to 70 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods (up to an entire shift)
• Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull regularly for operations, stocking, and equipment use
• Use ladders occasionally for maintenance checks
• Work in varying environments including hot kitchen areas and walk‑in coolers/freezers
• Operate POS systems, kitchen equipment, computers, and other standard devices
• Communicate clearly with employees, guests, vendors, and leadership teams
