Description

Glenmoor Country Club is an upscale, family-oriented, private club and golf course located in Cherry Hills Village off of Belleview and I-25. Our dedicated kitchen team plays a vital role in providing our members with upscale casual dining, patio service, and special events.

We are currently seeking Line Cooks to support our mobile outdoor kitchen during a $35M renovation of our clubhouse. Reliability and flexibility are essential qualities for this role.

This full-time position offers up to 40 hours per week and includes the following benefits:

  • Sick and vacation pay — up to 48 hours annually, accrued based on hours worked
  • 401(k) savings plan — with employer match, subject to eligibility requirements
  • Six paid holidays annually and premium pay for working holidays

This is a non-exempt role with an hourly wage range of $23 to $25 DOE.

Position Summary: Prepares meals by analyzing recipes, handling ingredients through slicing, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing; adding seasonings; verifying tastes and doneness; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients; and arranging hot and cold components using appropriate serving ware. May grill, sauté, roast, fry, and broil ingredients.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares meals by analyzing recipes and gathering ingredients.
  • Prepares food by following recipes, slicing, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing; adding seasonings; tasting for quality.
  • Completes meal prep by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, broiling, verifying doneness, assembling, and refrigerating.
  • Presents meals by arranging hot and cold items on plates and dishes.
  • Controls food costs and waste by adhering to recipes and standards.
  • Maintains sanitation by following cleaning, storage, and refrigeration protocols.
  • Maintains inventory by checking stock levels and anticipating needs.
  • Ensures equipment operates properly by following instructions and troubleshooting issues.
  • Contributes to food prep and organization by taking ownership and exploring improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in English reading and basic math skills.
  • High School Diploma required.

Skills: Demonstrates good knife skills, understanding of cooking methods, sanitation, safety, and kitchen operations including ordering processes.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Frequent physical activities including carrying, climbing, crouching, grasping, gripping, handling, kneeling, reaching, lifting, pinching, pulling, pushing, sitting, standing, and repetitive motions. Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as heat, humidity, noise, and temperature fluctuations. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment: Occasionally exposed to extreme heat, humidity, wet conditions, noise, hazards, and temperature changes.

Functional Competencies: Effective communication, support for team ideas, mentoring, implementing management directives, problem-solving, and creating alliances.

Scope: Works under moderate supervision, following detailed instructions. Tasks are reviewed for accuracy and adequacy, typically resolved within one to two days. Limited external contact, primarily internal within the department.
