Job description

We are looking to add a FT Line Cook at our Cherry Hill, NJ Facility!

Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. Our Recovery Village Cherry Hill is a state‑of‑the‑art inpatient and outpatient substance abuse and mental health facility. The goal of our food services department is to create a scratch kitchen to ensure patient satisfaction and that all dietary needs are met.

The Line Cook is responsible for assisting with meal and food preparation, regulation compliance (reporting), and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas as assigned by the Food Service Director. The position requires working effectively with facility leadership to achieve success.

Core Job Duties

• Work with the Food Service Director to prepare, cook, and serve food to clients that meets the highest quality standards.
• Maintain orderly storage and cleanliness of all areas and items within the kitchen, dining room, and other food storage, meal service, and refuse disposal areas.
• Check and complete temperature charts for refrigerators and freezers daily.
• Use approved cleaning agents appropriately within all food preparation, storage, and refuse disposal areas.
• Remove trash and refuse from kitchen, dining room, and food storage areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment, such as a meat slicer, with appropriate care and safety.
• Inventory food service items and supplies as directed.

• Report any changes in personal health status to supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in a related field required.
• Previous food services experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Position Competencies

• Proficiency in food preparation, regulation compliance, and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Ability to work individually, with other cooks, and with the Food Service Department to improve overall kitchen success.
