Line Cook
Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. The Line Cook assists with meal and food preparation, regulatory compliance (reporting), and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas as assigned by the Food Service Director. The role works closely with the facility leadership team to support the overall success of the facility.
Core Job Duties
- Orderly storage and cleanliness of all kitchen, dining room, and food service areas.
- Check and complete temperature charts for refrigerators and freezers daily.
- Use approved cleaning agents in all food preparation, storage, and refuse disposal areas.
- Remove trash and refuse from kitchen, dining room, and food storage areas.
- Operate meat slicer and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Inventory food service items and supplies as directed.
Other Required Tasks
- Perform all work activities safely and orderly.
- Show willingness to work for the best interests of the facility.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Report any changes in personal health status to the supervisor promptly.
- Take responsibility for own professional growth and development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- ServSafe Certification preferred (must obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Minimum one (1) year in a related field required.
- Previous food services experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Position Competencies
- Proficiency in food preparation, regulatory compliance, and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
- Ability to work individually, with other cooks, and with other employees in the Food Service Department to improve overall kitchen success.
