Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Lebanon, Ohio is seeking a Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer to join our utility-focused team.

You’ll perform tree pruning and removal for major electric utilities, operate chainsaws and aerial lifts, and contribute as an active crew member with foreperson guidance. This is a full-time hourly role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Love for outdoors and ability to complete required safety trainings.
• Must have valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS or SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Prune tops and remove damaged trees for electric utility providers.
• Remove broken limbs from lines, roofs, and structures safely.
• Operate tools including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Work as part of a crew with foreperson guidance.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Climbing Trimmer, joining our team servicing the city of Lebanon, Ohio.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law

Additional Information

• Hourly rate $23.00 - 24.00 based on line clearance/industry experience and/or if a CDL holder.
