Job summary

The Swan Food Company is hiring for a Blast 2 production role in Salina, KS. This full-time position offers a starting pay of $18.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential (3 p.m.–4 a.m.). Work hours are 5:15 a.m.–3:45 p.m., with Monday-Friday or Monday-Thursday schedules in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include unpacking ingredients, mixing, assembling, packaging finished goods, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. Training and advancement opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on concrete floors.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products and document waste; notify supervisor of quality issues.
• Perform duties per GMPs, safety regulations, and company policies.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
