Job summary

Meta's LINCS team is seeking a network engineer to design, deploy, and operate the network infrastructure for Meta's global AI lab clusters. You will own end-to-end network design for AI compute labs and collaborate with engineering teams maturing new hardware and software.

The role requires 10+ years in network infra, multi-vendor environments, scripting, and a track record of delivering reliable, low-latency networks. Occasional travel up to 10% and strong debugging skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years designing, deploying, and operating network infrastructure in production or lab environments.
• Experience in multi-vendor environments (Arista, Cisco, Juniper, open network OS).
• Experience with IPv4/IPv6, L2/L3 protocols and related technologies.
• Scripting or programming for automation (Python, shell).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end network design, deployment, and operations for AI/compute lab clusters.
• Serve as primary contact for backend fabrics (Arista and open network OS-based networks).
• Design and support high-throughput, low-latency cluster networking.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using packet captures and telemetry.
• Support hardware/software bring-ups and validations.
• Lead lab network lifecycle activities across regions.
• Develop and maintain network automation and ZTP workflows.
• Create and maintain MOPs, runbooks, and readiness checklists.
• Provide consultation and training to cross-functional partners.
• End-to-end ownership of projects from requirements to handoff.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, and lab ops teams to validate platforms.
