Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a Business Systems Analyst - Lab Systems to support LIMS-focused workstreams across Ramsey, NJ or Fort Myers, FL. You will gather requirements, analyze laboratory workflows, and help implement system enhancements in collaboration with IT and laboratory teams.

The role emphasizes translating lab processes into clear specifications, documenting requirements, and driving automation to improve system efficiency within an integrated lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years of IT business systems analysis experience.
• Must have experience supporting, enhancing or implementing LIMS.
• At least one year of complex project implementation in the lab/biotech/medical space.
• Experience mapping and improving end-to-end business workflows through automation and process improvement.
• Proven ability eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements across technical and functional teams.
• Familiarity with SDLC lifecycles and methodologies.
• Experience with Jira, Visio, Lucidchart, and similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of LIMS workflows across lab disciplines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Translate workflows into functional specifications and system requirements.
• Partner with lab users and analysts to prioritize enhancements and defect resolution.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains.
• Participate in system implementation, upgrades, and testing activities.
