Job summary

KBI Biopharma in Boulder, CO is seeking a LIMS Administrator to serve as the primary system administrator for the laboratory's LIMS platform, supporting users, configuring workflows, and driving continuous improvement, in collaboration with IT. You will design reports and dashboards, manage data and interfaces, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to system upgrades and validation projects.

The role requires a BS in a related field and 3–5 years' experience with LIMS or lab systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Biological Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting laboratory information systems or laboratory operations.
• Basic system administration experience.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL query development.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
• Experience with LabVantage LIMS or similar platforms.
• Experience in regulated environments (FDA, GMP, GLP) or similar environments.
• Familiarity with laboratory instrument integrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day LIMS user support and troubleshoot system-related issues.
• Configure and maintain tests, specifications, methods, templates, and other system master data.
• Deliver user training and guidance on LIMS functionality and best practices.
• Respond to user inquiries and resolve system-related problems in a timely manner.
• Serve as the technical lead for laboratory process improvement initiatives.
• Design, develop, and maintain LIMS reports and dashboards.
• Configure system pages, workflows, and functionality enhancements.
• Implement and maintain laboratory instrument interfaces with LIMS.
• Support implementation and maintenance of statistical quality control and trending tools.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on system upgrades, validation activities, and enhancement projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory data management, efficiency, and compliance.
• Manage laboratory information and data stored within LIMS.
• Generate reports and perform data analysis to support laboratory operations.
• Support statistical analysis, interpretation of trends, and investigations.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
