Job summary

Graymont Limited in Port Inland, Michigan, is seeking a safety‑minded production operator to join our lime operation. You will load, operate, and maintain lime handling processes, perform lubrication tasks, and assist with preventative maintenance and housekeeping.

Candidates should be physically capable, able to work 8–12 hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Strong teamwork and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong commitment to safety and working safely.
• Ability to use a computer and understand software.
• Ability to use various hand and electrical tools.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights in variable temperatures.
• Able to communicate professionally in person, via email, radio or phone.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willing to work 8 to 12 hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Graymont safety standards and policies.
• Complete required training as specified by MSHA and Graymont.
• Load rail cars and assist with loading trucks.
• Perform all product handling responsibilities.
• Operate lime handling, crushing and screening equipment.
• Verify lubrication and fluid levels; perform lubrication tasks.
• Assist in preventative maintenance and minor maintenance on plant equipment.
• Perform housekeeping duties and related tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
