Job summary

Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, Inc. seeks a Tax Credit Officer to evaluate LIHTC and AHTC proposals, determine eligibility, and provide technical assistance to applicants. You will present recommendations to the CHFA Allocation Committee and support staff through the allocation process.

The role requires strong underwriting, market analysis, and negotiation skills, with public speaking experience for board and event presentations. Hybrid work and travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Requires in-depth experience with the Section 42 LIHTC program and multifamily lending.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Finance, Planning, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–5 years in underwriting, market analysis, or financial feasibility related to housing.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite multi-family rental transactions following policy and procedures.
• Present projects and allocate Housing Credits to the Allocation Committee.
• Collaborate with Program Administrator and staff through the application and allocation process.
• Publicly present updates to CHFA Board as needed.
• Engage sponsors, lenders, investors and partners at conferences and meetings.
